I am a daughter, wife and mother. I grew up in a small town in upstate NY. I was blessed with wonderful parents and experienced what I thought at the time was a normal childhood. We didn’t have a lot of money or things, but we didn’t need that. I was always athletic, but in fourth grade I discovered the sport of gymnastics and fell in love. I spent the next 13 years of my life in the gym. In 1985 I attended the University of Maryland where I continued competing and earned a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Special Education. From there I returned to New York and took a job Teaching and coaching gymnastics. This started a new chapter and wishing a week I met my future husband, a gym teacher and coach. Children soon followed and I eventually became a stay at home mother. We have three children and during their younger years we became involved with the Salvation Army. This began our journey of faith. I have had many jobs, both traditional and working from home. My jobs were usually jobs that would work around my family, so I was home when the kids were home. I tried briefly to go back to teaching, but so much had changed that I decided to try something new and took and office job, which I loved, until I didn’t. Climbing the ladder was definitely not my thing. So I did what I should have done when years ago, I took a job as a teaching assistant. Now I Love my job! With all of my children out of the house and more time on my hands, I am looking to learn something new and share some encouragement and JOY with other women. I am focused on faith, fitness(healthy living) and being fruitful and fearless. I hope you are blessed by this website.
